Dianna’s annual Christmas wishlist is here!
All the Christmas gift ideas you’ll need for the corporate woman in your life (or yourself)
Looking for Christmas gift ideas? With all the bring-a-plate Christmas parties, present shopping and dinner planning (not to mention the end of year flurry of client work) it can be easy to forget about what I want for Christmas.
I suspect I’m not alone…
Essentially, if I don’t give my husband a few hints, I might be stuck with an ironing board cover this Christmas. (Not really, he’s pretty good, but I’m quite p-a-r-t-i-c-u-l-a-r about what I’d like!)
So in between rushing around I’ve managed to pull together this rather excellent list of gift suggestions. I’m sure you’ll like it too. Some are quite extravagant (a girl can wish).
Fingers crossed I’ll see one of these under the tree on December 25.
Jo Malone cologne
Whenever I wear Jo Malone I get plenty of compliments. I’ve got this one on the list to try next. Did you know they also do engraving? You can get a custom message inscribed on the bottle or the cap.
Bit of trivia: when Jo Malone was starting out in New York she invited friends to carry empty Jo Malone bags to all the fashionable shopping districts to generate buzz for her store opening – genius.
Miss Links pearl trio cufflinks
One of our best sellers! The divine pink pearl trio looks stunning contrasted against a simple white French cuffed shirt—infinitely preferable to the array of discs and squares from the men’s cufflinks department. These were one of the first cufflink sets I created when Miss Links launched back in 2013. I still love them and I’m thrilled to see so many corporate women do as well.
Pink tassel earrings (with cheaper alternatives)
These are rather extravagant, but how stunning are they? I love statement earrings and simply adore this pair from Oscar De La Renta. But I could be (almost) just as happy with this cheaper alternative I found on The Iconic, from Sydney-based The Tasslery. Or even cheaper again here. Whichever you choose, they’d make a great early Christmas present to wear to your forthcoming corporate functions.
Remarkable tablet
I do love the feel of writing on paper, because the tablets just can’t replicate it. But recently I heard about Remarkable. It’s a digital device you can use to write notes, sketch, read books and organise your thoughts. It keeps all your notes together, so you can use it for shopping lists, goal setting, bullet journaling, minute taking, gratitude journals and more. You can convert handwritten notes to typed text, and sync to your devices. I’m curious to give it a try.
Tickets to School of Rock
Admittedly, this is more of a gift for my whole family. My daughters (and hubby) will no doubt love to see the The School of Rock musical, based on the Jack Black movie and now showing in Melbourne at Her Majesty’s Theatre. I loved the film and my girls do too. We might make a day of it and see the matinee then check out city’s Christmas decorations and the Myer windows.
Be Bangles
These fierce bangles are inscribed with a variety of ‘go get ‘em’ slogans, some with rather liberal language: F-words and even C-words. The range was created by an Aussie entrepreneur who wants to encourage women to shine their light, to own their future and not take any shit. I love them all.
Lamy fountain pen
I stumbled across this store Milligram in Melbourne Central and I found heaven. Quirky, Japanese notebooks, bullet journals French calligraphy sets, and oh-my, the pens…acres of pens of all descriptions. I’m quite fussy with pens, I like a good feel and flow of ink. I’d love to try a fountain pen like this.
Rodeo Show dress
Summer is here so summery dresses are essential. I am loving the 90s florals everywhere, though I feel old enough to remember the look the first time round! This Rodeo Show dress is perfect for summer cocktails, The Australian Open tennis or Australia Day barbecues.
TDE Planner
I do love anything personalised. You can get it engraved with your initials or even emojis in your preferred font, colour and point size. Plus, with a week to a page, monthly calendar and notes, this gem will keep you organised and stylish. You can replace it with inserts in years to come so you can enjoy it beyond 2019.
Bianca and Bridget blazer
This classic black blazer with gold button accents is a keeper. Team it with jeans for a smart casual look or throw it over a pencil skirt or shift dress for the office. When you calculate the cents per wear, it becomes quite cheap, really. The more you wear it, the cheaper it becomes!
If any of these gems have caught your eye, send the link to your beloved other half as subtle hint.
Happy Christmas shopping and enjoy what remains of 2018!
Cheers
